A plain square block with a stair wrapping around its outside, turning at each corner. It changes as you walk past it, which is the point: turn it a quarter and it is a different piece.
The steps stand proud of the block, so they are the parts most likely to chip if it is knocked. The colour runs through the material, so a small chip shows ochre, not white.
